We gather here together
melt deep within this pot
where stews and brews that ancestral cup
From which you and I we both do sup.
Between the genes that flood their mark
upon the soft flesh the charters portray
the rounded lines, the curves and forms that lay
within the tempest of thoughts that stray
that eternal umbilical chord of life
that so interconnects us to them
those fathers of fathers
each maternal line of mothers
down and set upon a page
a pedigree of you and me
stretched out upon the boundaries
That drew from life's foundries.
